Breast-feeding Animals

breast feeding animalsThe Jeroboams wine shop in Belgravia, London, has caused upset by having a window display that features eight women breast-feeding lambs.

Well, that is just wrong. Who goes into a wine shop and drinks milk? How very rude of the lambs.

Apparently it is promoting Hendrick's gin and is a take on the 12 Days of Christmas. It's eight maids a'milking. I didn't know in that song they were milking themselves. I bet the drummers end up bruised.

The shop's deputy manager said, "The window went up last month, and many locals have popped in saying how much the like it."

I'm sorry, but that is disgusting. They put a Christmas display up at the start of November? That's what's wrong with society; trying to sell goods isn't what the true meaning of Christmas is all about.

I know, you're thinking, "Breast-feeding live stock isn't what the true meaning of Christmas is all about either." But I'm not sure. Remember, there was a birth in a stable. You're not telling me that in all the panic and confusion at least one of those boobs get too near to one of the animals.

P.S. It wasn't that long ago that Kate Garraway caused some upset with a photo shoot that showed her breast-feeding a calf. Fair's fair, I'm sure Kate had been drinking cow's milk for years. She was just giving a little back.
